For partners working the First Load daily list

How to work the daily list.

Every row is a trucking company that filed, got insurance, or went active yesterday. Their phones are ringing. Here's who to call first, what to say in the first 30 seconds, and how to follow up so you're the one they remember.

1. Call the right rows first

The CSV has three kinds of rows. Sort by the one that matches what you sell.

Insurance

applied rows where insurance on file = no. They can't go active until an insurance filing lands. Newest first.

ELD

granted rows first (active today, need an ELD before they run interstate), then insurance_filed rows (usually active within a day or two).

Factoring

granted rows. The cash gap starts with the first load: brokers pay in 30 to 60 days and fuel is due now.

Skip rows with a blank email and phone. Trucks = 1 or 2 is an owner-operator: the officer name is usually the person who answers.

2. The first 30 seconds

New carriers get flooded with calls the day their filing goes public, most of them robocalls and pitches that open with a price. Stand out by using their name, their status, and one question.

Insurance

"Hi, is this Maria? This is Dan with Lakeside Insurance. I saw your MC went public last week and your insurance isn't on file yet. Are you still shopping, or already bound with someone?"

ELD

"Hi James, it's Sam with RoadLog ELD. Your MC shows active as of yesterday. Congrats. Before your first interstate load you'll need an ELD in the truck. Do you have one picked out yet?"

Factoring

"Hi Andre, this is Kim with Summit Funding. Your authority went active this week. Have you figured out how you're getting paid on the first loads, or are you planning to wait on broker checks?"

Names and companies above are made-up examples. Use the officer name and company from the row.

3. Follow up once in writing

If they don't pick up, send one short email the same day. Plain text, no attachments, no links in the first line.

Subject: MC [number]

Hi [first name],

Saw your MC [number] filing. I help new carriers with [insurance / ELDs / getting paid fast] and work with a lot of first-year authorities in [state].

Worth a 5-minute call this week? Reply with a good time or a number.

[Your name], [company], [phone]

4. Cadence

The best time to reach a new carrier is the week their status changes. Working yesterday's rows today beats working last month's list all week.

5. The rules
